Day Trip Outside the City: European Style Winery at Chateau Ste-Agnès

If you dream of having that european moment without having to go anywhere far, this is the place for you! I had the opportunity to visit the enchanted vineyard Chateau Ste-Agnes to see all the experiences they have to offer. You can litterally spend a full day at their location! Upon arrival, there is an entry fee of $15 to access the vineyard and you can combine it with some of the experiences we will discuss later on:

  • Guided Tour (entry + tasting) : $60
  • Tasting (with entry) : $30
  • Picnic (entry + picnic kit + 1 glass of wine + charcuterie and cheese) : $56
  • Signature Experience(entry + guided tour + tasting + picnic) : $90

The first experience we tested out is their picnic in the vineyard. For $40, their picnic kit perfect for 1-4 people for up to 3 hours & includes a basket and towel.

For an additional cost you can visit their boutique to have goodies from À La Table By Hanna and of course add one of their delightful wine bottles. They have light snacks like cookies but also have grazing boxes perfect for a dreamy cheeseboard moment!

We also got to visit the whole vineyard and learn more about the history of the Chateau, the wine and the previous owner.

A little fun fact, it is also where Adele filmed a portion of her music video for Easy On Me.

Of course it is always necessary to stop by the boutique to buy local products from every place I go to haha! Their boutique is so aesthetically pleasing and offers plenty of products from À La Table By Hanna as well as all their winessss (Their ice wine was my favorite and truly a must whenever you go!!! )

Last but not least, I had the opportunity to experience their Farm to Vine event where by the menu, created by Isabel Gariepy highlights fresh and locally sources ingredients supporting local farms from the region.

A culinary experience inviting conversations and building a sense of community with the one big long table for all guests! As well, their is live musice to enjoy during the event.

To give you an idea of the 4 course meal we had, here is what we ate:

  • Appetizer: FRESH FISH CEVICHE, HOMEMADE RHUBARB WINE, IMMATURE FRUIT, JALAPEÑO, CUCUMBER, CILANTRO
  • Trou Normand: RHUBARB SORBET, GIN AKENES, MINT
  • Main: ANGUS BEEF TRI-TIP FROM D'ORÉE FARM GRILLED OVER A WOOD FIRE, GREEN PEA ESPUMA, TOMATO AND PARMESAN PURÉE
  • Dessert: FRESH RASPBERRY, MYRICA PEPPER CRUMBLE, SWEET CLOVER SPONGE CAKE. WILD FLOWERS MOUSSE

Of course, the menu being seasonal it will always be different but will for sure be delightful.

Bon Appetit & Safe Travels!
