Fall Day Trip Away From Home: Basses-Laurentides

With the fall weather just arriving, there are so many fun activities to do. I recently discovered Old St-Eustache a couple months ago and it's the perfect spot for all the fall aesthetic photos.

To start your day with the ultimate fall activity, head over to an apple orchard. It's the perfect way to enjoy the fall weather, take cute photos and spend time with family or friends. My two favorite apple orchards are Cidre Lacroix & Domaine Lafrance and are both located in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac (probably 5 mins apart haha!).

This year, Cidre Lacroix offers a brunch from Thursday to Sunday all about apples and it is definitely worth the trip! As well, they offer cider tastings and the space itself is just so pretty!

Domaine Lafrance, another one of my favorites, is also beautiful. Plus, they sell 2 of my favorite fall treats: apple donuts and apple bread. Definitely the perfect treats to bring back home!

If you quickly finish up at the Orchard and aren't quite hungry for lunch, be sure to stop by the Centre D'interpretation de la Courge to explore the pumpkin patch! Definitely puts you in the Halloween Spirit!!

After apple picking, it's time to discover Old Saint-Eustache. But before exploring the city, it's lunch time. We discovered Ladouceur du Terroir and it is the perfect spot for lunch! They sell many products from all around the province and also have lunch combos they sell which includes a sandwich and 2 salads + a drink.

After lunch, we had the opportunity to have a guided walking tour of Old Saint-Eustache. Be sure to check out their website to see if they add available dates or spooky halloween tours as it was very interesting and definitely worth doing if it is available. If no walking tours are available you can still do a tour of the Moulin Légaré and the Church. As well there are many signs about the history of different building around the city and autonomous tours of Manoir Globensky & Maison Chénier-Sauvé. Trust me when I say there's still plenty to explore without the guide!

After exploring the town and shopping, it's time for the final acitvity: Apéro Time! Head over to La Bullerie for the perfect apéro in the vineyard. Note that reservations are required so be sure to book in advance. This summer they started this picnic box which comes with a bottle of wine of your choice. It's a fun way to end your day and enjoy the fall weather a little bit longer.

Bon Appétit & Safe Travels!
