Open as of January 23rd, Le Cathcart is a food hall of 35 000 square feet located in the Esplanade Place Ville-Marie. It is open:

• Monday to Wednesday: 7am to 9pm
• Thursday to Saturday: 7am to 11pm
• Sunday: 7am to 6pm

Offering 3 full-service restaurants, 9 food counters, 2 coffee shops and a magnificent biergarten, this is definitely where you will find me for my next happy hour! The architectural design created by Sid Lee Architecture in collaboration with Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux accompanied with the indoor garden and the light coming in from the glass celling offers everyone a unique culinary experience.  

Now let's talk about food and coffee.

        3 Full-Service Restaurants

• Akio (japanese cantina)

Serving meals inspired by Osaka street food, we got to try a sushi plate as well as the grilled shrimp and it is definitely worth the stop.

• Pizza Del Fornaio (Pizzeria)

• Mirabel (Brasserie)

The menu is inspired by French and Italian cuisines and will be accessible morning, noon, and night as it also is one of the 2 coffee shops (opening February 3rd). We got to try a cavatelli dish, as well as a burrata & squash amuse bouche, and I will be back for sure to try more!

       9 Street-Food Counters

• Patzzi (Italian Sandwiches)

A must! The grilled cheese was my favorite among the dish we tried that night! Definitely got me wanting more! It also serves a variety of other italian sandwiches.

• Uniburger

• Tulum Taqueria (Mexican) & Karma Poke (Poke Bowls)

Both owned by A5 Hospitality, they are currently available at Comptoir Général in Place Ville Marie. The pork taco with the chipotle sauce is a must try.

• Dirty Greens (Salads & Healthy Delights)

If your looking for an healthier option this is definitely the counter for you. Offering a variety of salads and other healthy options.

• Chikin (Korean Fried Chicken)

The Miami restaurant KYU chef's won multiple prizes and is now bringing the Miami vibes to us. Definitely a must try as well.

• Omnivore (Lebanese-Montreal Cuisine)

Now their 3rd location, Omnivore is known for its revamped Lebanese classics. I unfortunately did not get the chance to try it because of the long line. But that alone can indicate that it's a fan favorite for sure!

• Mon Nan (Chinese Cuisine)

This counter will serve classic Chinese dishes. I got to try the general tao and yummm! I will need to come back to try the chef's famous dumplings and glazed duck!

• Hà (South-East Asian Cuisine)

I'm already a big fan of the restaurant located in the old port. Plus, the counter is a really nice representation of what you would get in the sit down restaurant. The pad thai was really good! A classic dish that never disappoints.

          2 Coffee Shops

As mentionned earlier one of the coffee shops is found in the Mirabel Brasserie. The other coffee shop is Caffé Veloce.

• Caffé Veloce

Although the coffee isn't the best I've ever tried, I do believe that the hot chocolate is one of the favorites I've ever had! I am a big fan of the spice hot chocolate from Patrice Pâtissier, and this was the closest one I've ever taste! As well, we got to try their cookies and WOWWW!!! Also some of the best cookies I've ever had. Will be back for more of the hot cocoa and the cookies!
