New Terrace At the Four Seasons: Le Mistral

The Four Seasons Hotel Montreal has recently opened a new terrace and it is a must stop on your next trip to Downtown Montreal! In fact, for this summer only they have partnered with Moët et Chandon to create this European terrace inspired by the region of Provence in France. Definitely the prettiest terrace in the city. It is recommended to make a reservation by phone as walk ins are limited due to covid restrictions.

Along with an incredible cocktail menu, Le Mistral is the first place in Canada to have a Moët et Chandon Vending Machine. I have to say this was the funniest thing ever. All you have to do is ask your server for a coin and you can go grab your bottle from the machine!

To start off our Mediterranean adventure, we got 2 of their cocktails:

  • Berry Nice: Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Blackberry, Lemon, Fresh Mint & Absinthe Mist
  • Deux Flics à Monaco: Belvedere Vodka, Strawberry, Madagascar Vanilla, Coconut, Hibiscus

Although the Berry Nice was very good, the Deux Flics à Monaco completely stole the show. So much so that I ordered a second one haha. For those of you who have ever been to Marcus, it's the strawberry version of their Forbidden Fruit cocktail!

As for the food, they have many options as well as two sizes for each dish perfect for those who want to take smaller portions to try out more things! (here is the menu) We tried out 2 of the dishes:

  • Prosciutto Melon: Ibérico Bellota DOP ham, compressed melon with basil syrup.
  • Sucrine: Chardonnay Vinegar, Candied Zucchini, Crispy Potatoes.

Both dishes were delightful and I would recommend getting both! This being said, the Sucrine was such an interesting salad you guys must try! It was so flavorful and truly original.

Although this experience is on the pricier side, it is definitely worth a visit!

Safe Travels & Bonne Appétit!
