New York City Guide: One Hotel Brooklyn

New York City, the city that never sleeps... Honestly, I've been going to NYC almost every other year ever since I can remember! But, I always found it difficult to find an hotel nicely spotted and soundproof so I could fully enjoy my trip. That is of course until I found the One Hotel in Brooklyn (https://www.1hotels.com/brooklyn-bridge). The only negative thing I have to say about this place is the price... very expensive, but still worth every penny. Plus, they often offer deals that are worth looking into, like right now! The Fall Equinox is an exclusive deal they offer, which is valid for stays now through November 26th, 2018. This deal offers your party a 30% discount on the pay rates and a 30$ food and Beverage credit for The Osprey (Hotel Restaurant). So for example, the dumbo king usually cost 463$US and could now cost you 310$US.

I found this hotel while looking at a youtube video. Never thought about staying in Brooklyn before seeing this and I don't know why I never did. The hotel is located in DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass) near the Brooklyn Bridge and Ferry station, more specifically at 60 Furman St. With it's beautiful waterfront location, this sure is a perfect spot for photography. The thematic and feel of the hotel is eco-friendly. They have plenty of plants everywhere in the hotel, in each room there is a station where you can fill your bottle of water, since they care for as little paper as possible... It is also a dog friendly hotel so feel free to bring your dog or cat with you on this trip! They even offer the cutest kits for your pets including a small bed. Since it is a very modern type of hotel, everything in your room can be controlled by an Ipad: lights, room service, reservation... Very cool! They also offer a variety of activities every month! During our stay, I had the opportunity to go to the sunrise yoga experience (which was free since I was a guest at the hotel) where I had the chance to meditate with the amazing view of NYC's skyline.

We had the privilege to stay in a Skyline 2 Beds room which mean we had the most amazing view of Manhattan + Statue of Liberty + the Brooklyn Bridge. Jawbreaking view! Of course the view comes with a price, so if you do not want to spend extra to have a view don't feel left out! They have an amazing rooftop where you can enjoy the view anytime of day!

This Hotel has four different restaurants, bars and coffee shops:

          Neighbors Café:

This coffee shop is located in the lobby of the hotel and is a great spot to grab coffee or eat breakfast. They serve seasonal and fresh items everyday from 6 am to 7 pm. There is also a gift shop section where they sell a variety of different things such as t-shirts, candles, blankets, dog treats... Here is the menu: NeighborsMenu

           1 Rooftop Garden & Bar:

Open seasonally during the summer, this rooftop offers a stunning view of Manhattans's skyline. Also, with a fee of 20$ for non-hotel guest, we can pretty much say it is reserved for hotel guests. It is open daily from 12pm to 12am but you can enjoy the rooftop at anytime of the day (I like to get a coffee at Neighbors Café in the morning and go drink it on the rooftop). On the roof, there is also a plunge pool open from 7 am to 8 pm, where guests can relax and enjoy the view. Here is the menu: Rooftop

              Brooklyn Heights Social Club:

A 2800 square feet bar located on the 10th floor of the hotel, with a glass wall so you can enjoy the waterfront view of the city in the day and sparkling skyline at night. It is open daily from 8 pm to 12 am and gives you access to a secret staircase that brings you straight to the rooftop! Here is the menu: BHSC. Reservation recommended.

              The Osprey:

A restaurant that offers American comfort food fresh from the market (farm to table style). It is located steps away from the East River and Brooklyn Bridge, in the lobby of the hotel, with a beautiful outside terrace. They offer everything from breakfast (7 am to 10 am Monday to Sunday) to dinner (5:30 to 10:30, closed on Sunday) and even Brunch on the weekends from 10 am to 3 pm. Here is the menu: OspreyMenu. They even offer special occasions pre-fix menu. For example, they have a Thanksgiving pre-fix menu that you can enjoy: Thanksgiving2018. Reservations are recommended and required for the special events.

Until Next Time, Happy Travel!
